How do I join Simplyhealth?
Depending on the type of plan you want, you can join Simplyhealth by heading to either our Health Plans page or our Dental Plans page.
From these pages, you can compare levels of cover and pick the best plan for you. The whole process can be completed online, and you'll be covered as soon as you get the confirmation email.
If I join today, can I make claims immediately?
You can claim for most benefits as soon as your plan starts, as long as the treatment is received after the start date. However, some benefits may have a qualifying period or exclusions for pre-existing conditions.
What’s a qualifying period?
This is the minimum amount of time you need to wait before you can make a claim for certain benefits. This means any treatment you receive before your plan starts, or during the qualifying period won’t be covered under that benefit.
What’s a pre-existing condition?
A pre-existing condition refers to any treatment, diagnosis, or medical/dental issue that was already discussed, documented, or diagnosed before your plan started, or during any qualifying period.
To see if any of these rules apply to your benefits, please check your Terms and Conditions. If you’re using the SimplyPlan app, you’ll need to tap ‘My Documents’ and then 'Terms and Conditions’ to view your full benefit details and exclusions.
How can I pay for a Simplyhealth plan?
You can pay for your health plan through Direct Debit.
In some cases, where it has been agreed, the policyholder’s employer may pay us the premium directly from the policyholder’s salary.

How can I refer someone to take out a plan with Simplyhealth?
Thank you, it’s great to hear you’re talking to your friends or family about us! For every friend that signs up, you'll get a £10 online shopping voucher (and they'll get one as well).
To refer a friend, you'll need to share a referral link or simply email them. They just need your surname and policy number. Once your friend has joined and paid their first premium, you'll receive an email to redeem your e-code within 14 days.

When should I receive my refer a friend e-voucher?
Once your friend has joined and paid their first premium, you'll receive an email to redeem your voucher within 14 days. It can sometimes take up to two weeks for the voucher to arrive.
